Other times a person sends hate mail because they are unhappy with themselves or the environment they’re living in. That’s what happened to Alicia Hardin, a former student at Trinity International University in Chicago. Alicia was unhappy at the school and wanted her parents to let her transfer her to a different college. To convince her parents, she started sending out hate mail to all of the African American and Hispanic students of the university and telling her parents it was a dangerous place to be. In the end the school had to involve the police of all these letters and Alicia was charged with hate crime and disorderly conduct.
